About Us
Committed to safe, stable, substance-free housing for men in recovery.
Tuckd Inn of Chicago is an Illinois organization developing a sober-living home for men ages 18 and older in Lake County, Illinois.
Who we are
Why we're building Tuckd Inn
For many men leaving treatment, incarceration, or an unstable living situation, the hardest part of recovery is finding a safe place to live. Without stable housing, it becomes much harder to keep a job, maintain sobriety, and reconnect with family and community.
Tuckd Inn of Chicago was founded to help close that gap. We are developing a structured, peer-supported sober-living residence in Lake County — a home where men can practice the daily habits of recovery while connected to the services and opportunities around them.
Sober-living housing is not clinical treatment. Instead, it is a supportive, alcohol- and drug-free living environment that complements treatment, outpatient care, and mutual-aid programs, helping residents put recovery into practice in everyday life.
Our values
The principles that guide our home
Safety
A substance-free home with clear expectations, so every resident can count on a secure environment.
Stability
Consistent structure and routine that give men the footing they need to rebuild work, family, and health.
Dignity
Every man is treated with respect. Recovery is a journey, and no one is defined by their past.
Growth
Accountability, peer support, and community connections that help residents move toward independence.

Our status
An honest look at where we are
Our housing program is currently in development and is not yet accepting residents. We are working to secure a residence, finalize our program model, and build the partnerships needed to open responsibly.
Tuckd Inn of Chicago is an Illinois organization. Information about our federal tax-exempt status will be shared here once it is confirmed. Prospective donors and funders are welcome to contact us with any questions about our organizational status.
